He has already settled in very well with us. From initial shyness and restraint towards us nothing is perceived. He has already learned a few things sitting! eg. And I can unleashing him when we walk. He comes back reliably. Where should he even be there ...
Although he comes from Spain, making him the temperatures, as each dog to create something. Shade or inside, somewhere else he might not be. And a great desire to play, he has not then. Is quite normal.
He is almost alarmingly similar to our Jessy: when he barks, even though much larger, it sounds like Jessica. And you have to bark like a dog if they believe such cats in the garden or the neighbor is noisy ... but thankfully (yet?), comes when the postman or the doorbell rings at the front door.
What sets him apart from Jessy, is its reluctance to engage with strangers. Although he sniffs at the prostrate hand, but when the hand tries to pet him, he withdraws. If there really was something of a English Water Dog stuck in him, but that would be quite typical race.

Sherry? - No, Jerry!
We now have the final name for our great small dog from Jerry and Sherry was so everyone is really happy. Even the person ever pointed the ears when I turn it so appealing.
where Jerry grew up and why he is so shy and timid, this video shows:
It was taken by the English animal rights activists who took Jerry and his brother, then in custody. The white and brown dog does not live anymore.
Today I had the first scare there with him. On the way back from our walk we were against people with 4 dogs, 1 Labrador, 2 Viszlas and something small. None of the dogs were on leash - what quite normal on a walk - and therefore rushed at us all going. And suddenly I had no more rope in his hand. Jerry grabbed squealing and screaming to escape. Oh my God! What do I do if the dog is not coming back? But my fears were thankfully unfounded. When the dogs were back at their owners, Jerry and quickly returned to me. He has the luck to have to trust me. I was very relieved.

Yes, we now believe he should be named Sherry. On the idea of us the neighbors when they asked us how the dog would and because we had to admit no name yet to be favored (in between us but Oscar liked very well ...). And the neighbor then said something like whiskey he could imagine for a dog of this kind ... Yeah, right! But not whiskey but Sherry. The name fits perfectly, because first he is from Spain and secondly, it comes out in color. His eyes are bright, amber or like Sherry ... ;-)
It is true love, but still very, very afraid. He knows virtually nothing, no cars, no cyclists, no children playing, no people, no strange dogs. When we talked to our neighbors, he expressed himself so strongly in my leg that he fell down, when I step aside made. But what already works to some extent, is the business to do without. This is very pleasant for us.

Since we have now 11 clock back a dog. Almost exactly a year after Jessy's death.
We adopted him from Spain, because we believe it is better to save an endangered animal from death as a breeder hundreds of dollars to throw into the throat.
He is still quite timid and shy, but this is not surprising. Just yesterday, he arrived by plane from Spain and was brought by our mediator for the first time to your home. And now he is somewhere else. This is stressful for a young dog, not too long, has with people. But I am sure he will settle in well with us.
It could be in his way, be a English water dog mix, he is expected to barely hair, although he is a shaggy animal Sun The hair is long enough to be sure but to play a lot of dirt ... reinzuschleppen but we also were used by Jessy and therefore we have no problems.
The only thing we lack now is a name. Right now I call him Pepe, but I'm not sure whether I really like. Also, Django, Chico, Jay Jay has already been discussed. Or just Max or curly. Let's do not really know. Mag us someone suggest a name?

one year ago today we had to let go of our Jesse. I miss her still.
We think intensively about us again to get a dog. It is not so easy. What I want is not in any event, a race bred dog for a lot of money. Let's see when we have the family. I will report.
