this country is this national park also like "little Canada". A lonely road winds for miles through the valley, past fields, forests and water meadows. Sometimes, just missing the bear ;-). The best time is early morning when the sun rises just behind the massif of the Karwendel mountain range and the large illuminated maple back . From England there are x possibilities from these mountains to hike, easy family walks to challenging multi-day tours.
Thus we are today at 7 clock set off at a mild 8 degrees plus - arrived at minus 3 degrees and snow cover! We are in good spirits and had to retire after losgestapft half of the route. The snow is now knee deep, no trace, buried part way through the snow avalanches. Despite good boots and shoes did not go on ...
